FreeStar Free Video MP3 Converter is a program to extract audio from video files.
It is capable of extracting the audio track of videos in several popular formats (3GP, AVI, WMV, MP4, MOV, VOB, SWF, RMVB, FLV, MPG, and more) and save it as an MP3 file. You will be able to choose the quality in which you want to save those files. The program offers you four quality presets (High, Optimal, Standard, or Economy Quality), each of them with a default sample rate, bit rate, number of channels, and audio codec. These presets are the only tool you have to control the quality of the output file, as their settings cannot be customized. The video settings, however, though present in the interface, are of no use in this program, since it is not intended to produce any video output.
You can perform batch conversion and save all the resulting audio files in the designed folder. All you have to do is to choose the destination folder, the video files whose sound you want to extract, the quality preset you want to use, and then press the "Convert" button. The program will process the files, and will warn you with a bell sound each time a file has been processed.
